I have lived on the Hoopa Reservation on the Trinity River most of my life. I was working for the Yurok Public Safety when the fish kill occurred. I have friends that call me family in Pecwan. You cannot under estimate how much the people down river depend on the fish provided by the river. The very thought of the Klamath River returning to it's formal natural self brings tears to my eyes and sends a tingle down my spine.
