Cool Clear Water Lecture Series

The California Colloquium on Water won't be starting up again until September, but the Commonwealth Club has come to provide an intellectual forum for water discussion until then. The Cool Clear Water series will feature such Colloquium vets as Peter Gleick, Ray Seed, Ellen Hanak, Sylvia McLaughlin and many other water professionals. Lectures will take place at the Commonwealth Club (595 Market Street, San Francisco) throughout August and tickets range from $15-$30 for non-members. The Water Education Foundation will hold its third Delta Vision workshop on July 27th at the Fresno Convention Center.  The one-day workshop will explore the pressing issues facing the Delta (water resources issues, ecosystem, flood management, land use planning and more) and explain Delta vision planning underway.

Workshop topics include:  The Importance of the Delta: The View from the Valley; Developing a Delta Vision; Assessing Risks to the Delta: The Delta Risk Management Strategy; The Value of the Delta: Why Do We Need a New Delta Vision?

Attendance at the workshop is free and a complimentary box lunch will be served.  Attendance is limited; to guarentee a seat you must register in advance.  On-site registration will be limited to availability.
