The Wolfensohn Center for Development at the Brookings Institution recently established a new Visiting Fellowship on Development Cooperation in Water Management in the Middle East.
The two-year Visiting Fellowship is devoted to the study of water management in Egypt, Israel, Lebanon, Jordan and Syria. The fellowship is open to nationals from these five countries, who may be affiliated with institutions anywhere in the world. Applicants must hold a PhD in Economics, Development Studies, Political Science, or a related field.
The goal of the fellowship is to foster cooperative research between academics from Israel and neighboring States on national and regional approaches to water management in the hopes of fostering progressive national and regional solutions to what is a critical development concern in the Middle East.
Applications should be submitted by July 20, 2007.
