OCLC Minority Librarian Fellowship Program

 On June 30, 2008, OCLC announced a new Minority Librarian Fellowship Program to provide new library professionals from under-represented groups an opportunity to be part of the library cooperative, OCLC. The program over 12 months offers the selected candidate two, three- month assignments within an OCLC divison, and one six-month position within a OCLC operating unit. Applications will start being accepted July 15, 2008 with deadline of August 29, 2008. Applicants should have earned the MLS/MLIS by January 2009. The Fellowship will be open first to applicants who are currently part of or alumni of the ARL Scholars Program as part of the ARL "Initiative to Recruit a Diverse Workforce". More information on the program will be available on the ARL and OCLC websites by July 15th.
