The Melvyl Catalog will be unavailable due to system maintenance from Saturday, August 29 at 11:00 p.m. through Sunday, August 30 at 10:00 a.m. During this time, the Next Generation Melvyl Pilot will be available.
ScienceDirect will also be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance on Saturday, August 29 for approximately 8 hours starting at 11:30 AM.
The Fall 2009 schedule for the Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society (CITRIS) Research Exchange seminar series is now online. The seminars will take place every Wednesday at noon in the Banatao Auditorium of Sutardja Dai Hall on the UC Berkeley campus, and box lunches will be provided.
The CITRIS Research Exchange is a weekly roundtable of presentations and discussions that highlight ways to frame and tackle societal-scale research issues. The talks are free, open to the public and broadcast live online the day and time of the event.

The Science and Engineering Libraries welcome all new and returning students! Many of the libraries will be offering tours and orientations during Welcome Week to help you learn about the collections and resources available to you.
