The UC Berkeley Science Libraries are sponsoring many RefWorks and EndNote classes this semester. A complete schedule with details and locations is available on the Events calendar of the Science Libraries @ UC Berkeley web site. Here is a summary:
RefWorks: Oct 15, Nov 10
EndNote: Oct 2, Oct 6, Oct 13, Nov 6
RefWorks is a web-based tool that allows users to create their own personal database by importing references from text files or online databases. You can use these references in writing papers and automatically format the paper and the bibliography in seconds. Web-based means you can access RefWorks from any computer with Internet access. Access to Refworks is provided by the UCB Library to UCB students, staff, and faculty.
EndNote automates the creation of bibliographies. Writers can save hours of typing and interpreting journal and other style requirements by simply selecting the publication or style by name and generating a prefectly formatted document. The EndNote support site includes new and updated import filters and output styles to download. UCB students, staff, and faculty may purchase EndNote at a substantial discount from Scholar's Workstation at the Cal Student Store.
Find help and information on RefWorks, EndNote, and more on the Science Libraries' Managing Citations and Documents web site.
