Applied Science Fulltext being cancelled

After consulting with all the contributing campuses, the California Digital Library has cancelled the article index, Applied Science Fulltext.  It indexes more than 400 English language journals, magazines, and trade publications in aeronautics, civil engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, fire and fire prevention, mathematics, mechanical engineering, metallurgy, robotics, space science, and textiles.

In addition to budgetary pressures, the reasons include falling usage and that much of the content is available via other article indexes.  To find general science articles and access technical trade publications, use Academic Search Complete.  For environmental science topics, use Environmental Sciences and Pollution Management.

Access to Applied Science Fulltext will end on June 30, 2009.
