EndNote X1 Program Update:

If you use EndNote X1, a program update patch recently became available. This patch is free for downloading from EndNote. Open your EndNote program and go to Help > EndNote Program Updates ... and follow the prompts.

Regardless of which EndNote version you are using, it is a good idea to check for program updates periodically, using the manner described above.
