Currently, the UC Berkeley campus-wide online subscriptions to titles published by the American Geophysical Union (AGU) are experiencing difficulties with licensing and authentication. Users have reported that they frequently receive a notice that the "Institutional License Concurrency Limit Exceeded." The problem seems to be widespread but intermittent.
The affected journals include:
All Journal of geophysical research (JGR) titles
Geophysical research letters
International journal of geomagnetism and aeronomy
Paleoceanography
Reviews of geophysics
Tectonics
Water resources research
Both the staff at the UC Berkeley library and the California Digital Library (CDL) are aware of the problem and are working to resolve these issues as quickly as possible. In the meantime, these titles are available in print in the library.
Please continue to report problems to the Earth Sciences and Map Library via the comments here, online form, email, or phone. We'll post an update when these issues have been resolved.
Thank you for your patience!
UPDATE: CDL staff have notified us that the issue should be resolved as of August 11. Please continue to notify the library if you have problems accessing these or any online journals.
