Geography Colloquium: Jake Kosek 2/27

The University of California, Berkeley Department of Geography Colloquium series continues Wednesday, February 27, 2008, with Dr. Jake Kosek who will discuss Modern Hives and Violent Swarms: Toward a Political Geography of the Honey Bee.

Dr. Kosek is currently Assistant Professor of American Studies and Anthropology at the University of New Mexico. He is the author of Race, Nature, and the Politics of Difference (Duke University Press, 2003), and the J.H. Franklin Book Award winning Understories: The Political Life of Forests in Northern New Mexico (Duke University Press, 2006).

The Geography Colloquium is held Wednesdays at 4:00 p.m., in room 575 McCone Hall on the UC Berkeley campus. More information is available from the Geography Department.
