Healthy Options Made Easier For Corner Store Patrons

From Gazettes.com.

Sometimes all it takes to start eating better is to learn new, simple recipes using familiar ingredients from the neighborhood corner store.

The Long Beach Neighborhood Store Partnership (LBNSP) is hosting a food demo to teach the neighboring community how to make a healthy meal from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m., today (Friday), at El Nuevo Guadalajara Market, 6792 Long Beach Blvd.

LBNSP partnered with the Healthy Corner Store Project and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health?s branch of the Network for a Healthy California African American Campaign, to stage food demonstrations at several markets and corner stories in North Long Beach.
