But Nissley is growing older, and that in itself is astounding. The Santa Monica resident has coexisted with human immunodeficiency virus since testing positive in 1987... According to the California Department of Public Health, 40 percent of persons living with HIV and AIDS in the state in 2009 were at least 50 years old. No similar age data from previous years was available, a spokesman said.
